Envirocatalysts is looking for a skilled “Communication specialist”. The selected candidate will contribute to scientific writing, op-eds, and organizational media management, with responsibilities including writing, reviewing, and editing content for digital platforms such as our website and social media channels.

We are seeking a proactive, creative, and detail-oriented Communication Specialist to amplify our energy, air pollution, and industrial decarbonization initiatives through impactful storytelling, strategic media engagement, and high-quality content creation.

Envirocatalysts is a dynamic research and advisory think tank dedicated to accelerating the clean energy transition through data-driven insights and policy solutions. We analyse air quality, energy, and industrial decarbonization datasets to drive climate action and improve air quality. Our work serves policymakers, journalists, NGOs, and academics at the intersection of environment, energy, health, and livelihoods.

Responsibilities

  • Content Development: Write, review, and edit scientific articles, op-eds, technical briefs, and reports for diverse audiences.

  • Media & Public Engagement: Manage media relations, prepare press releases, and represent Envirocatalysts at external events, and conferences.

  • Digital Communication: Create compelling content for our website, social media, and other digital platforms to raise organizational visibility.

  • Visual Storytelling: Produce infographics, videos, and visual assets aligned with our mission.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with researchers and policy experts to translate complex data into accessible narratives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in communication, journalism or a closely related field.

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in communication, media, or public engagement (preferably in environmental, journalism or development sectors).

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in environmental and climate change communications.

  • Familiarity with air quality, energy transition, or industrial decarbonization.

  • Experience with multimedia content creation (graphics, videos, podcasts).

Location

The ‘Communication specialist’ will be based out of New Delhi, India and is expected to be able to travel occasionally.
