Agricoltori del Punjab riciclano i residui agricoli per ridurre l’inquinamento

Farmers in Punjab (India) are recycling their crop stubble instead of burning it, to help reduce severe air pollution. They use machines (balers) to collect the leftover straw and send it to factories, where it is converted into biogas, bio-fertiliser, and cardboard. This shift helps cut the smog that typically spreads to Delhi in winter. However, experts say that more awareness and stronger incentives are needed to encourage more farmers to adopt this practice.
