Delhi approves EV policy with incentives, vehicle tax exemptions

• Tax & Registration Benefits: From July 1, all pure electric cars up to Rs 30 lakh will get 100% waiver on road tax and registration fees, promoting cleaner transport.

• Infrastructure & Investment: Delhi plans 30,000 EV charging points and will invest over Rs 7,000 crore in the next four years to expand EV infrastructure.

• Purchase Incentives & Transition: Subsidies for electric vehicles include: - Two-wheelers: Rs 30,000 → 20,000 → 10,000 over three years - Three-wheelers/e-autos: Rs 50,000 → 40,000 → 30,000 - Electric trucks (N1): Up to Rs 1 lakh - Scrapping incentive of Rs 1 lakh for BS-IV or older vehicles switching to EVs.
