Delhi hasn’t had a ‘good’ air day in over a year, you may have to wait till 2025

Delhi has not had a single “good” air quality day for more than a year, with the last time being in September 2023 when the AQI was in the ‘good’ category. Since then, air quality has stayed mostly in the ‘moderate’ to ‘very poor’ range, and even reached the ‘severe plus’ category on some days. Officials say it is unlikely the city will record a truly clean air day before January 2025, showing how persistent and worsening pollution has been.
