Delhi’s EV policy: No tax on EVs up to Rs 30 lakh, only electric 2-wheelers from Apr 2028

Delhi’s new EV policy aims to reduce air pollution by encouraging people to switch to electric vehicles. It offers full exemption from road tax and registration fees for EVs priced up to ₹30 lakh until 2030, making them more affordable.

The policy also proposes that only electric two-wheelers will be allowed for new registrations from April 2028, along with other steps to expand EV use and infrastructure, showing a strong push towards cleaner transport in the city.
