EV registrations jump 29 pc in Delhi, petrol vehicles still dominate: Analysis

Delhi saw a 29% rise in EV registrations in 2025–26, now comprising 12.7% of total vehicles. However, petrol vehicle registrations also grew and still dominate at 73.1%. CNG vehicles increased, while diesel declined. Experts expect new policies and incentives to further boost EV adoption, potentially moderating conventional fuel growth despite its current expansion.
