Green crackers allowed in Delhi: Can last year’s pollution surge happen again?

Following the Supreme Court's decision to permit green firecrackers in Delhi, experts warn that toxic smog levels could spike again this winter. Even though eco-friendly crackers produce around 30% fewer emissions, burning them in vast quantities still harms air quality. Furthermore, past experience shows that enforcing rules is difficult, as fake labels often flood the market and conventional crackers are illegally sold alongside approved ones.
