Electric vehicle sales in Delhi rose by 29% in 2025–26, helped by government incentives and growing interest in cleaner transport. However, petrol vehicles still dominate the market with over 70% share, mainly because EVs are more expensive upfront and charging facilities are limited, so the shift to electric is happening slowly.
