Long-term solutions recycled after yrs of pollution inaction

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has given a long-term plan to the Supreme Court to tackle the persistent air pollution in Delhi and the surrounding region. However, experts say most of the proposals are very similar to old recommendations from an earlier authority in 2018, with few clear deadlines or targets, making them look like recycled ideas rather than new solutions. The Supreme Court has asked the Delhi government, municipal bodies and other state agencies to submit detailed action plans within four weeks on how they will put these suggestions into practice.
