Uttar Pradesh News: Reports Flag Urgent Need For Clean Mobility Push And Stronger EV Policy

A new set of reports for Uttar Pradesh highlights that rising traffic and worsening air quality in cities like Lucknow demand urgent action to change how people travel. The studies, prepared with help from IIT-BHU and EnviroCatalysts, show that heavy congestion and vehicle emissions are harming public health. They also review the state’s current Electric Vehicle (EV) Manufacturing and Mobility Policy and find many gaps that need fixing. The reports call for a stronger, clearer strategy to improve charging infrastructure, set performance standards, support financial access and boost sustainable travel options so that the state can move towards cleaner, inclusive mobility.
