Smog, Sprinklers, and Skewed Data: On Ground at Delhi’s AQI Stations

A news report from Delhi has found that the government's official air quality monitors are often placed in spots that don't show the full picture.

The investigation focused on Anand Vihar, a known pollution hotspot. It was discovered that while the official monitor might show a slightly better reading, the air just a short walk away on a busy street was visibly much worse and far more dangerous for people's health.

The report suggests that by placing monitors in slightly less polluted spots, the true severity of Delhi's toxic air problem is being hidden from the public. This means residents may not know just how bad the air they are breathing really is.
