Stringent curbs for Delhi as pollution season approaches

As winter smog approaches, Delhi is introducing strict anti-pollution rules under its new Winter Action Plan. Key measures include banning construction in phases, doubling parking fees, enforcing 50% work-from-home rules, and denying petrol to vehicles without a valid pollution certificate (PUCC) from 1st October. The city also plans to boost public transport, though experts stress that strict ground-level enforcement will be essential for these rules to work.
