Thick haze, but no AQI data as portals go dark

Because of this outage, people could not check the Air Quality Index (AQI) or know how bad the pollution had become. The last available data showed the AQI at 370, already in the “very poor” category, but it was likely worse later in the day. The breakdown caused public frustration, as the system is meant to help residents track air quality levels in real time.
