Winter is coming: How capital is planning to tackle the long haze and worsening air quality

As winter approaches, Delhi is preparing to face months of thick haze and poor air quality. Even though the government has introduced several measures such as vehicle emission checks, mist sprayers, electric-vehicle support and more trees planted, pollution levels have continued to rise. Experts warn that small fixes are not enough and that long-term action to cut pollution at its source is needed if the capital is to see cleaner air this winter.
