Air quality dips to very poor in pockets as winter approaches

In some parts of Mumbai, the air is turning very bad as winter comes. Levels of fine particles (PM2.5 and PM10) are rising, especially in areas like BKC, Worli, Mazgaon, Sion, and Deonar. Experts say this happens because cold weather traps pollution, and the city’s constant sources of pollution are making things worse. The municipal corporation is stepping up efforts to control dust and emissions.
