CAQM to introduce digital platform for live AQI monitoring

CAQM will soon launch a digital platform called PAVAN to monitor air quality in real time across Delhi-NCR. It will track pollution from industries, vehicles, construction activities, and farm burning, helping officials quickly identify and act on violations. The system will include a mobile app, live dashboards, satellite images, and GPS-tagged inspection reports. Officials say this will make the inspection process more transparent, faster, and more efficient, while enabling better policy decisions.

Experts say the move is positive but stress that it must include transparency and accountability to succeed.
