Cleanest start to Oct in six years, thank shift in wind direction for it

Gurgaon recorded its cleanest start to October in six years, with the average air quality index (AQI) for the first 15 days much lower than in recent years. Experts say a change in wind direction and stronger winds helped to disperse pollutants, keeping air quality better than usual. The city saw mainly “satisfactory” and “moderate” air days, with fewer “poor” days compared with the same period last year. However, local pollution from dust, vehicles and waste burning continues to be a concern for long-term air quality.
