Delhi: Early warning system off the mark amid AQI spike

The article says that Delhi’s air quality early warning system did not predict the sudden rise in pollution correctly. It forecast that the air would stay only moderately bad, but in fact the air quality became much worse, moving into a higher pollution category more quickly than expected. Because the forecast was wrong, authorities were slower to act using anti-pollution measures, which made it harder to reduce the impact of the smog on people’s health.
