Delhi Records Best Early-November Air Quality in Three Years — But It’s Still ‘Very Poor’

Between November 1 and 15, Delhi saw its cleanest early-November air in three years, with a mean AQI of 348 — better than in the same period in 2023 and 2022.
Experts say the improvement came from earlier Diwali fireworks, reduced stubble burning nearby, and favourable wind conditions.
However, despite the dip, the air quality remained firmly in the “very poor” category, and warnings suggest more severe pollution spells could return soon.
