Silver flares fired into clouds: Delhi takes two shots at summoning rain

The planned cloud-seeding operation to tackle Delhi's pollution has now begun. An aircraft has taken off from Kanpur to fly over the capital and release chemicals into the clouds.

The aim is to create artificial rain, with areas like Laxmi Nagar and ITO expected to be among the first to see it if the mission is successful.
