‘Gains short-lived… programmes can cost up to Rs 3 crore’: Experts on why cloud seeding may not work

Experts are warning that Delhi's plan to create artificial rain will only provide very short-term relief from pollution.

They say the clean air gains might last for just a day or two. For it to work at all, the conditions have to be absolutely perfect, which is very difficult to get right. Ultimately, they stress that the only real solution is to tackle the root cause of the problem: stopping the pollution at its source.
