Temperatures in Rajasthan have reached close to 43 degrees. A heatwave alert has been issued in Jharkhand. A new trend of hyperlocal heat, i.e., varying degrees of dangerous heat in different regions, has emerged in Delhi. The latest reports from the Meteorological Department and scientists are providing clear indications: this time the heat will not only be intense, but also more dangerous and likely to last longer.
