Delhi is heating up quickly, with average land surface temperatures rising by nearly 3°C in March over the past 11 years, according to a new satellite-based study.

Temperatures in Rajasthan have reached close to 43 degrees. A heatwave alert has been issued in Jharkhand. A new trend of hyperlocal heat, i.e., varying degrees of dangerous heat in different regions, has emerged in Delhi.

Recent reports from the Meteorological Department and scientists are providing clear indications. This time, the heat will not only be intense, but it could also be more dangerous and last longer.
