EV Draft Policy: पेट्रोल-डीजल वाहनों को धीरे-धीरे खत्म करना चाहती है सरकार, ईवी से करेगी प्रदूषण पर सीधा वार

Delhi’s draft EV policy aims to gradually phase out petrol and diesel vehicles and replace them with electric ones to reduce pollution. It proposes that delivery and ride-hailing fleets stop adding petrol/diesel vehicles and switch to EVs.

The plan also includes banning new petrol two-wheelers and three-wheelers in phases (from around 2027–2028) and encouraging people to move to electric vehicles instead.

To support this shift, the government is offering subsidies, tax waivers, and incentives, along with better charging infrastructure. Overall, the goal is to cut air pollution and make transport cleaner in Delhi.
