Think tank reports surge in pvt vehicles registrations in Ggm

A report says that vehicle registrations in Gurugram have risen sharply, reaching their highest level in seven years. Most of these are private vehicles, especially petrol and diesel ones, showing that people still rely heavily on fossil fuels.

Cleaner options like electric vehicles and CNG cars are growing, but from a much smaller base and still make up only a small share of total vehicles. Public transport remains limited, with far fewer buses than planned, which pushes more people to use their own vehicles.

Overall, the report highlights increasing dependence on private, fuel-based transport and raises concerns about air pollution and the slow shift towards greener alternatives.
