Farmers in Punjab (India) recycle crop waste, aim to reduce pollution

Farmers in Punjab (India) are now sending their crop stubble to factories instead of burning it, to help reduce the severe air pollution in New Delhi.

They use balers to collect the stubble, which is then converted into biogas, bio-fertiliser, and cardboard.

While this switch has cut down on burning in over 800 villages, experts say more incentives and awareness are still needed for a wider impact.
