Ggn’s Heat Divide: 8°C Gap Between Neighbourhoods

A 12-year study has revealed a massive temperature gap of up to 8°C between different neighbourhoods in Gurgaon. The hottest areas are concentrated in Old Gurgaon and along the Dwarka Expressway.

This extreme heat divide isn't just down to luck or geography. Instead, it is being driven by rapid development. Experts point out that cutting down trees, losing ponds and lakes, and replacing them with concrete roads and glass buildings have caused ground temperatures to skyrocket in certain parts of the city.
