Gurgaon pollution: Air turns ‘severe’, season’s first

Gurgaon’s air became extremely polluted — reaching the ‘severe’ level for the first time this season. The poor air was caused by farm fire smoke from nearby states, lots of traffic pollution and calm weather that trapped dirty air over the city. This means breathing outside was risky and health warnings were issued.
