Gurugram vehicle registrations hit 7-yr high, EV share low: Environmental group

Vehicle registrations in Gurugram have reached a seven-year high, with nearly 2.3 lakh new vehicles added in the past year. Most of these are petrol and diesel vehicles, showing people still rely heavily on traditional fuel.

Electric vehicles are increasing, but they make up only a small share. Experts warn this slow shift to cleaner transport could worsen air pollution, especially as public transport remains limited.
