Lowest PM2.5 levels since 2015 in May, but PM10 levels remain steady

Delhi recorded its lowest PM2.5 levels in May since 2015, largely due to rainfall and stronger winds that helped clear fine pollution particles from the air. However, PM10 levels remained almost unchanged, showing that dust from construction, roads and other sources continues to be a major problem. The findings suggest that weather can improve air quality temporarily, but long-term progress requires stronger action to reduce pollution at its source.
