प्रदूषण की गिरफ्त में मुंबई, दिखी धुंध की मोटी चादर
Mumbai witnessed a sharp deterioration in air quality as a thick layer of smog covered the city. In several areas, the Air Quality Index (AQI) crossed 300, which falls under the ‘very poor’ category. Localities such as Andheri, Worli, Malad, and Kandivali recorded AQI levels consistently above 200. Experts attributed the rise in pollution to slow wind speed, increased vehicle emissions, and ongoing construction activity. The worsening condition has caused significant breathing difficulties for asthma patients and the elderly, prompting health warnings and advice to avoid prolonged outdoor exposure.
