No Air Quality Sensors, 268 C&D Sites Get DPCC Notice

The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has issued notices to 268 construction and demolition (C&D) sites for failing to install mandatory air quality sensors. Out of 620 registered sites in the city, only 352 have sensors, despite rules requiring real-time air quality monitoring. Rajouri Garden recorded the highest number of violations, followed by Greater Kailash-I and Kalkaji. Officials said dust from construction is a major source of winter pollution in Delhi, and sites that do not comply may face penalties and compensation charges.
