The sudden tourist surge has resulted in massive traffic jams, overcrowded hotels, and long vehicle queues across popular destinations. In Manali, roads remained choked till late night as tourists rushed towards Rohtang Pass after fresh snowfall. Similar scenes were witnessed in Kodaikanal, where vehicles lined up for kilometres amid rising summer tourism. Authorities are now struggling to manage traffic and infrastructure pressure as temperatures continue to soar in the plains.
