AQI Severe, 22.5% Of Blame On Farm Fires

Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘severe’ category for the second straight day on Wednesday, making it the most polluted city in India. The city’s average AQI was 418, with farm fires contributing 22.5% to the pollution. Experts said the situation worsened due to calm winds and trapped pollutants. Pollution levels are expected to stay severe until Saturday. Authorities have implemented Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), banning construction and restricting vehicle movement to control emissions.
