Sprinklers continue rounds at monitoring stations amid row over air pollution in Delhi
Water sprinklers have been seen repeatedly spraying around air-quality monitoring stations in Delhi, even though local air is still in the “poor” range. Residents say this has been going on since after Diwali, and the sprinklers are seen near stations such as Anand Vihar and R.K. Puram. Experts warn that wetting the ground near monitors can cause heavier dust particles to drop, lowering recorded pollution levels without really improving the actual air.
