The city is reshuffling its air quality sensors to get a clearer picture of pollution.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has opened six new continuous air quality monitoring stations in Delhi, stating that air pollution is a "year-round challenge" and not just seasonal. She also launched the 'Vayu Rakshak' initiative, involving vehicles with teams to enforce pollution norms.

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) is launching PAVAN — Platform for Air Quality Vigilance and Analytics for NCR, a new digital ecosystem designed to transform inspections, compliance monitoring, and enforcement across the region.

The CAQM is thinking of placing dust sensors on important roads across Delhi and NCR to measure how much dust is in the air.
